Obituary for Kermit L. Feller

Kermit L. Feller, 91, of Sciota, died Thursday, December 15 in Pleasant Valley Manor, Snydersville.

He was the husband of Betty Jane (Flick) Feller. They had observed their 68th wedding anniversary in March.

Born in Effort, he was a son of the late Roy and Anna (Martin) Feller.

Kermit had been a truck driver for W. S. Peeney, Inc.. in Stroudsburg for 40 years, retiring in 1994.

A 1942 graduate of Chestnuthill High School in Brodheadsville, Kermit served in the in US Marine Corps from 1943 until 1946 in the Pacific Theater during WW II.

He was a member of Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville and also a member of the church's senior group. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian Feller and his wife Cathy of Brodheadsville; a brother, Scott Feller of Palmerton and a sister, Virgie Christman of Gilbert. He was preceded in death by a son, Daryl and by brothers, Bill, Thiel (Pete), and Dale.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 19 from Zion United Lutheran Church with Rev. Ann Melot officiating. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion United Lutheran Church, 1919 Route 209 Brodheadsville, PA 18322 or to Friends of Pleasant Valley Manor, 4227 Manor Drive, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
