Jorge J. Colon Jr., 72, of Palmerton, passed away Tuesday, April 17 in his home.

Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jorge J. Colon Sr. and the late Adelaida (Torres) Colon.

Jorge worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in Manhattan, NY, for over twenty five years.

He was a very loving father with a good heart. While he was a very hard worker, he was also very caring and would take the shirt off his back to help any friend or family member in need. Jorge will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by three daughters, Lori Ann Oliver and husband Abner of Puerto Rico, Leslie Ann Guerra and husband Moises of Kresgeville, Gigette Jean Colon of Sciota; a son, Rodney J. Colon of Manhattan, NY; two sisters, Providencia Santiago of Georgia, and Luty of Florida; a brother, Frank Delfi and wife Mary of Manhattan, NY; seven grandchildren, Andrew J. Oliver, Gina L. Guerra, Christian J. Oliver, Aaron M. Guerra, Mariah S. Oliver, Jeanina S. Oliver, Leonardo L. Oliver; his friendly ex-wife, Gina Alvira; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Delfi and a brother, Antonio Delfi.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
