Thelma M. Searfoss, 97, of Pocono Lake, passed away on Saturday, April 14 in the Hospice Unit at Geisinger South Hospital, Wilkes Barre.

She was the wife of the late James R. Searfoss.

Born in Pocono Lake, she was a daughter of the late John and Olive (Keiper) Argot.

Thelma was a member of the Pocono Lake Wesleyan Church but her family was her life.

She is survived by a son, Marlin Searfoss and his wife Cheryl of Etters; a daughter, Sandra Elias and her husband Ronald of Pocono Lake; two brothers, Paul and Homer Argot of Pocono Lake; a sister, Elsie Lawrence of Pocono Lake; five grandsons, Jeffrey, Joel and Josh Searfoss and Ryan and Daryl Elias and three great grandsons, Evan, Shane and Wesley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Steve Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Blakeslee Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
