Paul John Ruggiero Jr., 54, of Saylorsburg, passed away Thursday, April 12 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono.

He was the husband of Michelle (Shenton) Ruggiero. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Belleville, NJ, he was the son of the late Paul John Ruggiero Sr. and the late Marie (Clancy) Ruggiero.

He was a member of the Montgomery Presbyterian Church in Belleville, NJ.

Paul graduated from Bloomfield Technical High School. He worked as a pipe fitter for the Union 696 for over thirty years until retiring in 2010.

He was a former class President in High School, and he also enjoyed volunteering his time as a flag football coach to the kids from his hometown of Belleville, NJ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Louis Ruggiero and Ralph Ruggiero; three sons, Robert Mickey Shenton, Richard Michael Shenton, and Paul John Ruggiero III; and a grandson, Zachery Shenton.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
