Arleen L. Goody, 81, of Effort, passed away Thursday, March 15 at home surrounded by her family.

She was the wife of the late Leland S. Goody.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur Joline and the late Hazel (Weigold) Joline.

Arleen loved being outdoors working in her garden and enjoying nature.

She is survived by a son, Robert A. Goody and wife Doris of Brodheadsville; two daughters, Debra L. Golden and husband Lewis of Beach Lake, PA, Patricia L. Macri and husband Pasquale of Newburgh, NY; a sister, Janice Kollar and husband Michael of Shohola; two grandchildren, Amanda J. Goody and Amber J. Goody; and two great grandchildren, Noah Goody and Nathaniel Goody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Pedersen.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 18 at 6:30 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville with Rev. Robin Fisher officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 18 at 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Burial of the ashes will take place on a later date at the convenience of the family in Kresgeville Cemetery.
