Jens T. Hansen, 77, of Brodheadsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 27 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of Cecilia (D'Andrea) Hansen. They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in December.

Born in Germany, he was the son of the late Thomas Hansen and the late Elizabeth (Wolken) Hansen.

Jens worked as an electrical engineer for Special Events by Merry Maid in Bangor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jens Hansen and wife Britta of Effort, Erik Hansen and wife Jill of Effort; two daughters, Inge Burlew and husband Timothy of Effort, Dana Walters and husband Robert of Brodheadsville; a sister, Inge Auffarth of Brodheadsville, and his grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Entombment of the ashes will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
