Obituary for Earl A Smith

Earl A. Smith, 87, of Long Pond, passed away on Monday, February 12 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono.

He was the husband of the late Harriet A. (Wilson) Smith.

Born in Long Pond, he was the son of the late Stephen Smith and the late Alma (Miller) Smith.

Earl worked as a union carpenter for over twenty five years.

He was the greatest person in the world and was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He helped his brother Alvin Smith with his construction company for many years. He was a life member of the Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Co. and was Fire Chief for several years.

He is survived by three sons, Carl Smith of Blakeslee, Randy Smith of Blakeslee, Gene Smith of Long Pond; a daughter, Patricia Pepper of Cresco; a sister, Shirley Smith of Long Pond; many grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
