Anna Mary  Martini (Carney)
Anna Mary Martini, 87, of Effort passed away on Friday, February 9 in Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort.

She was the wife of the late Victor Arthur Martini.

Born in Indiana, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Newton and Elizabeth Jane (Rhea) Carney.

She was a 1948 graduate of Homer City High School.

Anna was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by five sons, Richard of Niagara Falls, NY, Samuel of Liverpool, NY, John of Saylorsburg, James of Effort and Joseph of Kunkletown; a daughter Patricia of Niagara Falls, NY; two brothers, Samuel Carney of Indiana, PA and William Carney of Shelocta, PA; a sister, Laura Fansler of Phoenix, AZ; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Carney and by a sister Margaret Yessler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Deborah Scheffey officiating. Burial will follow in Dotters Corner Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10;00 AM until the time of the service.
