Franklin D. Mackes Jr., 56, of White Haven and formerly of New York, passed away on Friday, December 15 in Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health.

Born in Easton, he was a son of Franklin D. Mackes Sr. and Janet (Cornish) Mackes.

He had worked in warehousing for BMW in NJ

Franklin was a US Air Force veteran. He built bicycles as a hobby and enjoyed spending time with all his friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kaitlin Mackes-Luther and her husband Bradley of Gilbert, SC and Maria Mackes of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Franklin D. Mackes III and Phillip Mackes and his wife Stacey of Burnt Hills, NY; four brothers, Jeffrey, Jon and Richard, all of Dotters Corner and Steven of Blakeslee and six grandchildren, Aidan, Landon, Alanna, Zoey, Asher and Sophia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Mackes.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service
