Nancy J.  Hertler (Andersen)
Nancy J. Hertler, 80, of Pocono Lake, passed away on Thursday, December 14 in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.

She was the wife of the late George E. Hertler.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. Andersen and the late May (Collison) Andersen.

Nancy was the kindest and most caring person with such a warm heart. She had a joyful personality and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She graduated from Germantown High School in Philadelphia in 1955.

She was a member of the Blakeslee United Methodist Church. She was extremely involved with her church and she acted as Trustee for many years. She participated in the church choir, and also volunteered her time doing taxes for seniors at the Carbon County Seniors Center.

She is survived by a son, Douglas Fahringer of King of Prussia; three daughters, Chris Wallace of Texas, Wendy Hester of Louisiana, Joanne Aversa of Thornhurst; a niece, Lynn Horswill; nine grandchildren, Samuel, Peter, Jack, Alec, Connor, Charles, Ian, Corey, Celeste; two great grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert H. Fahringer, two brothers, Edward and Peter Andersen, a sister-in-law and best friend, Lois Andersen, and a granddaughter, Hope Renee.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5 at 11:00 AM from the Blakeslee United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Healey officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 57 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
