Obituary for John Z. Kowalski

John Z. Kowalski, 63, of Effort, passed away on Friday, November 24 in the Lehigh Valley-Pocono VNA Hospice House, East Stroudsburg.

Born in Warsaw, Poland, he was the son of the late Julian Kowalski and the late Cecylia (Jesionka) Kowalski.

John worked in production in the extrusion industry for many years.

He received a Bachelor's Degree from Monmouth University in 1978. He also was a brother in the national fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. John volunteered his time with The Garden of Giving in Saylorsburg.

He is survived by three daughters, Victoria Johnson and husband Scott of Pittsburgh, Emily Moffat and husband Steven of Colorado Springs, CO, Melissa Kowalski of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Gigi Alpert and husband David of Hillsborough, NJ, Lucia Fry of Walnut Creek, CA; three grandchildren, Aiden, Mason, and Reagen; and a niece, Jennifer Kline. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maggie Dibble.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 27 at 7:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville. A visitation will be held on Monday November 27 at 6:00 PM until the time of the service. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
