Adele Rose (Cinti) DeLeva, 71, of Brodheadsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, in St. Luke's Hospital- Bethlehem.

She was the wife of the late Charles J. DeLeva.

Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Cinti and the late Rose (Flagiello) Cinti.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Adele worked as a school teacher for both public and catholic schools for ten years. She was one of the first certified reading specialists in her field. She graduated from St. Louis Academy. She then received a bachelor's degree in science from Notre Dame College, and after that she received a master's degree in the same subject from Richmond College.

Adele was a very selfless and courageous person. She had an extremely caring and nurturing personality, and had the perseverance to fight through and overcome all the obstacles that came her way. Her family was her inspiration throughout her life, but she was also an avid animal lover, and she will be missed by her four cats and her dog.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph DeLeva and wife Sharlene of Pen Argyl, Charles C. DeLeva and Fiancee Traci Dykeman of Brodheadsville; a granddaughter, Naomi DeLeva. Naomi and Adele were very devoted to each other, and they shared many common interests. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Cinti.
