Obituary for Margerete Borowitz (Berger)

Margerete Borowitz, 92, of Albrightsville, passed away on Sunday, September 17 in Brookmont Health Care Center.

She was the wife of the late Alexander Borowitz.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emilie Berger.

Margerete was a very loving and heartfelt person. Family and friends considered her to be one of the strongest women they have ever known. She was a great cook and baker, and besides her friends and family, she loved her dog Betsie.

She is survived by a son, Alexander Borowitz of Albrightsville; two daughters, Margerete Borowitz of Albrightsville, Lisa Borowitz of Albrightsville; two brothers, Alfred Berger and wife Helen and Rudy Berger; and a nephew, Harry Fowler.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 14 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
