Obituary for Ray Vernon Bond

Ray Vernon Bond, 90, of Nazareth, passed away on Friday, September 1 in Easton Hospital.

He was the husband of Clara Marie (Wescott) Bond. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on July 3rd.

Born in Saylorsburg, he was the son of the late Robert Bond and the late Flora Alice (Eckley) Bond.

Ray worked in maintenance at MC² in Pen Argyl for over sixty years.

He was a life member of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Post 1106 in Stroudsburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Fogel and husband Wayne of Nazareth; a sister, Virginia Faulstick of Saylorsburg; a granddaughter, Nicole Fogel of Nazareth; four great grandchildren, Joelle Fogel, Jessica Fogel, Jenna Fogel, Jacob Hoffman; and a great great grandchild, Dahlila Fogel. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Troy Fogel, and eleven siblings.

A church service will be held on Tuesday, September 5 at 11:00 AM from the St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Saylorsburg with Rev. Edward Bean officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 5 at 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
