Kathryn Louise Malaico, 69, of Blakeslee, passed away on Tuesday, August 22 in her home.

She was the wife of Steve Malaico, They would of celebrated their 52 wedding anniversary on August 31 of this year.

Born in England, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Landau and the late Novella (Waugh) Landau.

Kathryn worked as a manager for Verizon for over 35 years.

She was active in the Alumni & class correspondent of Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn Heights, NY. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her dog Maggie and numerous cats.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Yvette Shelter and husband Billy of Blakeslee; four grandchildren, Bill Jr., Michael, Matthew, Jacqueline; a step-mother Nancy Landau; and lifelong friends, Kathy Santiago and Blanche Speaker.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 12:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville with Rev. David Felker officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
