Peter S. Burke, 80, of Saylorsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 1 in his home.

He was the companion of Barbara Running for thirteen years.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Harold Burke Sr. and the late Helen (Noelle) Burke.

Peter grew up in Bayside, NY. When he moved into the area, he worked at Whitewater Rafting in Jim Thorpe. He then began working as a school bus driver for Pleasant Valley School District for many years. He was also an avid magician.

He is survived by a brother, Hal Burke and wife Rosemary of Tobyhanna; a step-son, Todd Flyte; a step-daughter-in-law, Sherry Flyte; a step granddaughter, Tiffany Torres; a step grandson, Timmy Flyte; and a step great grandson, Christopher Torres, who all reside in Blakeslee.

Burial of the ashes will be held on a later date in Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
