Alice J. Gilbert, 93, of Kunkletown, passed away on Friday, June 14 in Getz Personal Care Home, Jonas.

She was the wife of Harvey A. Gilbert. They observed their 72nd wedding anniversary in January.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Abner and Mabel (Twelves) Simpson.

She attended the Countryside Alliance Church in Brodheadsville.

Alice was a member of the Pleasant Valley Choral Society and was also involved with Music Ministry. Along with her husband, she played the piano and guitar in area nursing homes.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Bill Gilbert and wife Carol of Perkasie, Bruce Gilbert and wife Deborah of Holland; two daughters, Sandra Ringheiser and husband Paul of Kunkletown, Janie Cliver and husband Scott of Vail, CO; eleven grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21 at 11:00 AM from the Cornerstone Community Church, Kresgeville, with Rev. Stuart Szmaciasz officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 21 at 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Dotters Corner Cemetery.
