Obituary for Lee D. Bond

Lee D. Bond, 91, of Brodheadsville, passed away on Friday, July 7 in his home.

He was the husband of the late Marie (Heller) Bond. They were married on May 4th, 1947.

Born in Saylorsburg, he was the son of the late Robert D. Bond Sr. and the late Flora Alice (Eckley) Bond.

Lee was a plumber for most of his career and he was a member of the local 524 in Scranton.

He was a WW II Navy veteran, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert, and a member of the VFW Post 2540 in Stroudsburg.

He enjoyed working as a plumber in the area for most of his life. He spent his remaining years with his daughter, Robin and son-in-law Ervin. He was a loving Pappy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was affectionately known as "Happy Lee" by his twin great-grandchildren.

He is survived by three daughters; Robin Sexton and husband Ervin of Brodheadsville, Barbara Schwartz and husband Fred of Brodheadsville, Diana Cornell and husband James of Mays Landing, NJ; a son, Lee E. Bond of PA; a brother, Ray Bond of Nazareth; a sister Virginia Faulstick of Saylorsburg; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
