Edith E. Fuqua, 84, of Effort, passed away on Wednesday, June 28 in the Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort.

She was the wife of Jacques L. Fuqua. Together for 37 years, they had celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Edith was born on August 7, 1932 in Austria.

She had been a supervisor at Chase Bank in Long Island, NY for nine years before retiring in 1998.

She was a member of the Sierra View Senior Citizens.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline Brophy of Fly Creek, NY, Cathy Bruno of Effort and Denise Prahl in FL; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

The Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, is in charge of arrangements.
