Obituary for Nelson Negri
Nelson Negri, 85, of Saylorsburg went home peacefully to the Lord on Tuesday, May 30 in his home.
He was the husband of the late Carol L. (Port) Negri.
Born in Orange, NJ, he was a son of the late Harry and Hazel (Stoll) Negri.
Nelson was a service supervisor at Sears in Watchung, NJ for thirty three years before retiring in 1993.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a life member of the VFW. He was a member of the Americus Lodge Free and Accepted Masons in Woodbridge, NJ and also the Shriners. Nelson was a Special Police Officer in Middlesex Boro, NJ for twenty two years.
He had attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
Nelson was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he instilled very strong family values in his children. He was loved by many in the community and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Fullwood of Effort and Lori Negri of Gilbert; two sisters, Barbara Lange of Toms River, NJ and Joan Negri of Newton, NJ and five grandchildren, Sean, Andrew, Kellyann, Ralph and Jesse.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday June 2 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. Michael Quinnan officiating. A viewing will be held on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 3 in Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ.
