Obituary for Marlin C. Peters

Marlin C. Peters, 78, of Effort, passed away on Tuesday, May 30 in St. Luke's Hospital- Monroe Campus.

He was the husband of Lulubelle J. (Shipps) Peters. They observed their 56th wedding anniversary in February.

Born in Wind Gap, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Hawes) Peters.

Marlin worked for Rulind Construction in Bethlehem for many years.

He also had a love for Dodge vans.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brian Peters of Lehighton, Bruce Peters and his wife Krista of Nichols, NY; three daughters, Dawn Spires of Salem, MO, Melanie Kindred and husband Willis of Long Pond, Valerie Hendershot and husband Nelson of Fairmont, WV; a brother, Harold Peters of Belfast; two sisters, Patricia Dotter of Wind Gap, Sharon and her husband Mario of Forks Township; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 5 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be at the conveneience of the family in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
