Obituary for Frank P. Carr III

Frank P.  Carr III
Frank P. Carr III, 86, of Pocono Pines, passed away on Tuesday, February 21 in Weatherwood Nursing Home and Rehab, Weatherly.

He was the husband of Carol (Guild) Carr. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Delaware County, he was the son of the late Frank P. II and Margretta (Ramos) Carr.

He was a member of the Pocono Lake United Methodist Church.

Frank owned and operated Frank P. Carr Reality as a real estate broker and developer for over fifty years.

Frank was a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the Pocono Lodge #780 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Cresco, PA. He was a member of the Pocono Real Estate Board. He also built the Village at Camelback, the Chateau Resort and Conference Center, and the Ski Side Village, all in Tannersville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeff Carr and wife Marge of Cresco; two daughters, Kathy Derrick and husband Dave of Cresco, Cindy Knecht of Pocono Pines; seven grandchildren, Jena, Elizabeth, Chrissy, Jeffrey Jr. Janet, Madison, Paige; and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 6:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209, Brodheadsville, with Pastor John Smith officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25 at 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Cremation will take place in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Burial of the cremains will take place on a later date at the convenience of the family.
