Wayne Rainey Ramsey, 50, of Effort, died Sunday, February 5 in his home.

He was the husband of Kimberly (Kramer) Ramsey. They celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in September.

Born in Springville, NY, he was a son of Bill and Julia (Vedder) Ramsey.

Wayne worked in construction for Zone Striping Inc.. in Glassboro, NJ for twenty years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Thomas of Bridgewater, NJ, Billy Ramsey and Wayne Ramsey Jr. of Effort; two brothers, Bill Ramsey and Fiancee Jennifer of Arcade, NY, Delroy Stutzman and wife Elizabeth of Delevan, NY; two sisters, Brenda Schurr and husband John of Batavia, NY, and Kellie Ramsey of Attica, NY. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Delroy Stutzman.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 11 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Cremation will follow in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.
