Eugene A. Kemmerer Sr., 83, of Long Pond died Sunday, January 1 in the New Eastwood Nursing Home, Easton.
He was the husband of the late Emma (Keiper) Kemmerer.
Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Eugene and Hilda (Rutledge) Kemmerer.
He had worked at Bethlehem Steel for thirty three years before retiring. He was a US Army veteran.
Surviving are four sons, Kevin Kemmerer of Albrightsville, Roger Kemmerer of Long Pond, Todd Kemmerer of Effort and Eugene Kemmerer Jr. of Gilbert; two daughters, Denise Kalanich of Las Vegas, NV and Emma Kemmerer of Shawnee; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 7 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Felker officiating. Cremation will follow in the H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
