John Gabor, 86, of Stroudsburg, Jackson Township, died Wednesday September 7 in Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort.

He was the husband of the late Zsuzsa (Szabo) Gabor.

He was born in Cluj Napoca, Romania.

John had been a cab driver in New York City for over fifteen years, retiring in 1998.

He is survived by two daughters, Maria Hoza of Jackson Township and Susana Racz of Kresgeville; a sister, Virginia Bircu in Romania and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 16 at 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery.
