Obituary for Gerald V. Lipyanic

Gerald V. Lipyanic, 66, of Wind Gap, died Thursday, June 2 in Gracedale, Nazareth.

He was the husband of Verna (Heim) Lipyanic. They would have observed thier 47th wedding aniversary on June 6.

Born in Brodheadsville, he was a son of the late John Lipyanic Sr. and the late Florence (Buskirk) Lipyanic.

He had owned and operated Gerry's Brass & Copper Polishing in Wiind Gap for over 30 years and prior to that he had worked at Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap.

Other than running his business, he enjoyed many trips with his wife and he spent endless weekends at horse shows with his daughter. In his later years, he enjoyed driving his corvette to various shows and fun runs. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters. He was a member of the Easton Area Corvette Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sherry Ott and her husband Jason of Plainfield Township; three brothers, Phillip, Michael and Mark; a sister, Dee Dee and two granddaughters, Brittney Noble and Janelle Ott. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Jr., Patrick, Tom and Martin and by his sister Theresa.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 7 from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Rote 209 Brodheadsville with Phillip Lipyanic officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Eaton Cemetery, Saylorsburg. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
