Martha Lou Lesnik, 72, of Effort, died Monday, September 7 in her home.

She was the wife of Edward J. Lesnik. They would have observed their 49th wedding anniversary on September 10.

Born in Rockingham, NC she was a daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle (Norton) Huggins.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert Lesnik of Effort and seven grandchildren, William Joseph, Brittany Lee, Joseph Edward, Kelly Ann, Edward Raymond, Sara Lynn and Jennifer Marie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lesnik.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12 in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ. Entombment will follow. There will be a viewing on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, PA.
